How long has MAPerformance been in business?

MAPerformance was born in the summer of 2006 -- no customer base, no formal business plan, no corporate backing. Just two friends, Chris Carey and Kyle Nelson, committed to doing what the industry was failing to do: answer their phones, ship parts fast, and give enthusiasts real advice from people who actually build cars.

Chris had a talent for tracking down hard-to-find performance parts. Kyle had the technical expertise to push a 4G63T Mitsubishi further than anyone thought possible. Together they built a reputation for making smaller turbocharged cars extremely fast, and turned that expertise into a business.

Today MAPerformance stocks over 45,000 products, produces in-house MAP-branded components, and serves enthusiasts building everything from street cars to drag racers.
