# Why is wheel size important?
## Wheel size affects both the look and performance of your build. Smaller wheels offer a smoother ride and better off-road capability, while larger wheels give your car a bold, eye-catching appearance.
Many people will probably tell you that one of the most important aspects of an aftermarket build is wheel size. Smaller wheels are a popular choice for daily drivers and off-road builds because they allow for a taller tire sidewall. That extra sidewall helps absorb bumps, improves ride comfort, and provides better protection and traction when driving over rough terrain, making smaller wheels a practical and versatile option.
On the other end of the spectrum, larger wheels are the go-to choice for show cars and street-focused builds. Big wheels create a bold, aggressive stance and instantly draw attention, especially when paired with low-profile tires and a properly tuned suspension. While they may sacrifice some ride comfort and off-road capability, they deliver maximum visual impact and a clean, modern look that stands out anywhere.
Ultimately, choosing the right wheel size comes down to your personal style and how you plan to use your car. Whether you prioritize performance, comfort, off-road capability, or show-stopping aesthetics, matching your wheel size to your driving habits and build goals will ensure your car looks right and performs the way you expect.
